NOTE
from RP (unedited); re: October 2007 meeting:
Here's what 's been shakin' in the County of Cass.........
On October 27th Cass County ABATE had the highest attendance
of any meeting I have been to in a couple of years. Later
that evening I had a re-occurring feeling from many years
ago.....87' or 88' or whenever, a memory from back there
in the few brain cells I survived my "Crown Royal wars"
with. This past year has been a definite spark, and it has
started growing into that roaring campfire that we all draw
a spirit-load from, a comradely sense of brother and sister
hood! It was sooooo goooood to see all the folks who came,
and hopefully you guys that were there will get some other
folks aware of our po-lit-i-kal plight, as to the NTSB Helmet
Bullcraaaaap! I urge you folks to get registered to vote,
and call and get on our phone tree, and get your grandma,
and cousins, and the guys you work with who ride, too! Heck,
sign up these mo-ped commandos, and anybody on any scooter,
they are a spoke on our wheel, FBA.
FUTURE BIKERS OF AMERICA! WE NEEEEED ALL OF YOOOOOOU!
MOTORCYCLING IS AT A JUNCTION THAT WE BIKERS ARE GOING TO
HAVE TO CHOSE WHICH WAY WE WANT TO GO. AND, ONE WAY IS A
HELMET LAW, WITH MORE DISCRIMINATORY BULLCRAP ....HELLLLOOOOOOO!...THE
OTHER WAY IS WHERE YOU ALL HEAR THE CALL, COME FORWARD,
STAND TALL, SPEAK AND WRITE LOUD, AND MAKE THESE A-WIPES
HEAR US, "WE WANT OUR FREEDOM OF THE ROAD, WE WANT OTHER
HUMAN BEINGS IN MOTOR VEHICLES TO QUIT RUNNING INTO AND
OVER OUR BIKER BROTHERS AND SISTERS ON OUR MOTORCYCLES,
OR, WE WANT THEM TO BE SUSPENDED FROM DRIVING THOSE VEHICLES
IF THEY DO!"
WE HELD ELECTIONS FOR CASS COUNTY OFFICERS FOR 2008. KARIN
LANDRUM WAS RE-ELECTED TO BE CASS COUNTY REP. ERNIE GASHO
WILL BE OUR CO-REP. TWO VERY GOOD ABATE DO-ERS FOR CASS
COUNTY. I WILL REMAIN THE CASS COUNTY LINC REP. I WOULD
LIKE TO THANK ALL OF YOU BIKERS WHO CAME TO THE MEETING,
VOTED, LISTENED TO MY SOAPBOX SERENADE ABOUT OUR PO-LIT-I-KAL
PLIGHT, AND I URGE YOU TO CALL SENATORS BAYH AND LUGER,
AND CONGRESSMAN JOE DONNELLY IN WASHINGTON D.C., AND COMPLAIN
ABOUT THE NTSB'S 'BULLCRAP' PLOY TO PUT A HELMET LAW ON
US. YOU CAN GET THEIR ADDRESSES AND PHONE NUMBERS FROM THE
PHAROS TRIBUNE, OR GO ONLINE TO www.mrf.org
or www.abateonline.org CLICK ON WHERE IT SAYS 'LEGISLATIVE',
AND THEN CLICK ON 'FIND YOUR SENATOR OR REPRESENTATIVE'.
OR, YOU CAN CALL ME AT 574-702-0702 or email me at rp_morris@netzero.com
THANK
YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. WE CAN DO THIS, YOU KNOW WHY?
'Cause, I love you all i the wind, R.P. Morris CASS COUNTY
LINC
NOTE from webmistress: Congressman Joe Donnelly did
make an appearance at the September meeting. As soon as
I get some more info on what was discussed I will post it
here.
NOTE
from RP; re: the September 2007 meeting:
I will have an update at the next meeting on the [NTSB]
National Transportation Safety Board's release last week
about making us all wear helmets. This is the organization
who investigates thousands of plane crashes, train wrecks,
bad highway wrecks, bus wrecks, etc, but have only investigated
14 or so motorcycle wrecks to come to their conclusion that
we need a helmet law, for everybody, in every state. Tami,
please put ALL OF THE ABOVE INFORMATION on the webpage,
with my phone number 574-702-0702, and put in there that
after they read this on the web page, to PLEASE give me
a call, when they can, (9am to 9pm anyday). I need all the
input, feedback, etc I can get from all of the members I
can get.
www.mrf.org (note from
webmaster - link IS active) has all the info on the NTSB
crap, if you can put a link on there for the folks to surf
to, then they can see the MRF's stuff, that I get about
2 times a week. Later, ILYAITW...RP

Hello all, Very sad news today that George Benner, ABATE
of Indiana REGION 4 member and Benton Co Rep was murdered
in Indy last night. There is not a lot of news just yet
but looks like an ex-husband of Georges girlfriend shot
both of them. Calls are being made and some of you may already
know but here is the link to the news story and I will follow
up with any info I get about a service. http://www.wthr.com/Global/story.asp?S=6331104&nav=menu188_2
George was a quiet guy that often had a cigar with him.
He will be missed. -Maelene
